Meet Our Staff

Mary – Dental Assistant

Hi, my name is Mary and I am one of Dr. Losco’s dental assistants. I have been a part of Dr. Losco’s team for eight years. I have been in the health care field for 28 years. I currently have 17 years experience as a dental assistant and 11 years experience as a Physical Therapist Technician. I also have obtained my associate’s degree in business management.

As a dental assistant, I have obtained my X-ray and CPR certification and have attended several continuing education courses, which keeps me up-to-date on the latest care and techniques the dental field has to offer to our patients.

I love to work with our patients by assisting the doctor during procedures, comforting patients during their appointments and answering their questions concerning their care. I enjoy seeing our patients receive the dental care they need and knowing that I am a part of that experience.

Patti – Dental Assistant

Hi, my name is Patti and I am one of Dr. Losco’s dental assistants. I recently joined Dr. Losco’s team in March of 2008 after being a patient for three years. I immediately received my X-ray certification in April and have enjoyed learning about the dental field. Although it is still early in my career, I have put forth a lot of hours of on-the-job training and have been cross-trained for the front office as well.

I have 10 years of experience with working with people. My previous position in customer service gave me the opportunity to interact with people on a one-on-one basis, which has been beneficial to me as a dental assistant.

I enjoy the fact that every day brings an opportunity to learn something new. The dental field is fast-paced and ever-changing and I take pleasure in assisting the doctor in caring for our wonderful patients.

Shannon – Dental Hygienist

Hello, my name is Shannon and I am Dr. Losco’s dental hygienist. I joined Dr. Losco’s team in 2008. I started my career in the dental field in 1999 as a dental assistant, where I was trained on-the-job. I enjoyed helping my patients so much that I decided to continue on with my education. I received my associate’s degree in Biology in 1999 and continued on to receive my degree in dental hygiene in 2003.

I frequently attend continuing education classes to educate myself on the ever-changing patient care techniques that are offered in the hygiene field. I feel it is important to stay up-to-date and to share my knowledge with my patients in order to maintain a healthy mouth.

What I enjoy the most about my job is the one-on-one time with my patients and getting to know them. I love to clean their teeth and educate them about good oral hygiene.

Jessica – Business Manager

My name is Jessica and I am Dr. Losco’s Business Manager. I have been with Dr. Losco since 2007. I started in the dental field as a receptionist in 1998. After only a few months, I was trained on-the-job as a dental assistant, which I continued to do until  I joined Dr. Losco’s team.

During my years as a dental assistant, I was able to learn a great deal about the clinical aspects of the dental field. I have assisted doctors through simple cleanings to complete smile makeovers. I obtained my X-ray certification in 2003, and in 2006, I obtained my certificate in Advanced Functional Aesthetics from LVI. I have also recently obtained my Medical Coding/Billing certification from WCCC in 2009.

What I enjoy the most about my job is the fact that I get to help patients get the care they need. I assist patients in maximizing their dental benefits, set up financial arrangements for their care, and help them schedule their appointments so they can continue towards their goal of a healthy, beautiful smile.
